2005 "Gully" Shiraz
"Redden Bridge Wrattonbully"

Colour
Very dark and dense – almost impenetrable
Nose
The nose lifts very nicely from the glass, with an attractive charry oak and ripe berry combination.
Palate
This has everything! It has wonderful persistent ripe flavours with licorice, spice, plummy/berry notes and there's vanilla and toasty, cherry flavours from the rich oak. Flavours go on and on! Tannins are big and soft and give great support to the flavour.
Potential
This is a hugely flavoursome wine with masses of potential. While it's already showing complexity, it will continue to develop and will be a brilliant mature wine. Expect it to peak around 2012 – 2013 and will still be a great wine in 2020!
